Home Rehabilitation

Home Repairs

Our Mission: Promoting neighborhood stabilization, community revitalization,
and economic development through projects and partnerships
that positively impact Chautauqua County, NY and it’s residents.

How we can help....

CHRIC offers financial aid to income-eligible homeowners for safer, healthier, and more affordable housing. Programs are tailored to specific communities or repair needs, each with unique eligibility criteria.

Currently, we’re collaborating with Sherman, Silver Creek, Westfield, and Celoron to distribute Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for necessary home repairs. County-wide CDBG funds are available for water/septic system repairs, except for Jamestown and Dunkirk residents.

We’re also partnering with Ellington to replace extremely deteriorated manufactured homes. Eligibility requires residency, single-family owner-occupied homes, current mortgage and taxes, and income below 80% of the Area Median Income.

For the Ellington program, homeowners must own the land and have no open mortgage on the trailer to be replaced. Total household income includes all adults’ income except full-time students, and benefits for children under 18 are counted.
